Volunteer Coaches (Unpaid)
Almost all programs at Skyline Soccer Association are coached by volunteer coaches. Most of the time, the coach has a child on the team they are coaching. All volunteer coaches must submit to a background check before any coaching begins. If needed, Skyline staff put on coaching clinics for new coaches. Also, Skyline's club coaches do their best to make it out to each teams practice at least twice during the season to help give the players a professionals perspective on coaching and to teach the volunteer coach some new drills. One head coach is refunded their registration fees after the start of the season. If their are two head coaches or one head coach and one assistant coach, often times the coaches will split the refund in half.
Competitive Coaches (Paid)
Skyline Soccer Association prides itself on maintaining a strong Competitive league supported by quality coaching. Competitive coaches take high caliber teams and develop their technical and tactical skills giving them many opportunities in the soccer world. Each coach is carefully watched by the Skyline Director of Coaching and is evaluated on a seasonal basis. Competitive coaches are paid anywhere from $1,000 - $3,000 per season. This includes 2-3 practices per week, games and tournaments on the weekends. Skyline Competitive coaches must set a standard for themselves and must present themselves, their philosophies and coaching styles in a respectable manner.
