Skyline is  an adidas club and requires adidas uniforms on an ongoing two-year uniform cycle.  The newest cycle will begin Fall 2021 season.  For ordering and more information go to our Uniforms page in the menu above.

The 9U-10U Recreational program at Skyline is designed to continue the long tradition of Skyline’s fun, community atmosphere. The 9U-10U recreational and Academy have two seasons, one in the fall and one in the spring. Families will register prior to each season. The fall season runs from  August – October and the spring season runs from March – May.

All 9U-10U Recreational and Academy teams are coached by volunteer parents and play in-house against other Skyline teams. At this age, teams typically practice 1-2 times a week at a convenient location near you. Practice days and times vary from team to team based on the geographic location of families and the coach’s choice.

For the Fall 2021 season will have 8 games during the season. ‘Home’ games for this age group will be played at Hampden Heights Park or Kennedy Soccer Complex typically on Saturdays with a few Sundays.

All Recreational and Academy players wear Skyline recreational uniforms on game days that can be ordered online.

Skyline is excited and proud to announce a new soccer ACADEMY program starting Fall 2021. The Academy program is a pathway for recreational players and teams U8-U15, looking for more player and team development and exposure to a more competitive environment. The Academy programs allows teams and players the benefit of staying on a team with friends, but adds in a weekly developmental training session with Skyline Staff coaching. The staff coach trains the entire team once a week and focuses on Technical and Tactical training to further develop each player and the team as a whole. This is a great blend of recreational players and teams becoming more competitive players.

Skyline continues to have Recreational and Competitive programs, but saw a need for the in between. Academy program has the benefits of recreational with the staff training to become more competitive. This program is offered for players U8-U15.

Teams are recreational with a desire to become more developed and competitive.

    1. Teams receive 5 training sessions with a Skyline Staff coach for practice.
    2. Skyline staff coach will work closely with team coach to assist team coach with team and player development
    3. Teams will play at the appropriate level of CSA Front Range League or Interleague.
    4. Players will be evaluated by Skyline Staff coach, making them a known player should they want to play competitive later.
    5. Staff training makes sure recreational players aren’t falling behind in their development and prepares them for later competitive and High School teams.
    6. Season runs the same as recreational, Fall and Spring.

Additional Recreational Questions? Contact Jack Neukirch jack@skylinesoccer.org

Additional Academy Questions? Contact Bobby Warner bobby@skylinesoccer.org

  • Recreational and Academy teams have the option of participating in either the New Interleague Program with Littleton United and HRSA or the CSA Front Range League.
  • Playing in the Interleague will mean that your home games are at a Skyline field and your away games are at a United field.  Playing in the CSA Front Range League will mean that your home games are at Kennedy Soccer complex and your away games could be anywhere in the greater Denver Metro area and could mean travel north to Fort Collins or and south to Pueblo or Colorado Springs.
  • Travel time could be very different for your season based on which league you choose.

Elite

  • The Elite Program is the pre-competitive program designed to better prepare 9U/10U players for the Competitive Program at 11U.
  • Elite teams participate in Colorado Soccer Association (CSA) Intermediate Leagues. Teams play seven versus seven (7v7) format with goalkeepers for 8 games per season.  All home games will be played at Kennedy Soccer Complex.
  • Team will practice two times per week with optional (but highly recommended) Age Group Training (AGT) on Fridays at Kennedy Soccer Complex.
  • Games are played in a home/away format with opponents. Some travel outside of Denver and surrounding areas may be required for games. Games are refereed by certified referees at this age group.
  • The program is a one year commitment and runs from August – May.

  • 3/21: Outdoor practice can begin

Normally Elite teams are formed through attendance at the ID Camp as well as player assessments throughout the 8U year ensuring all players are ready to participate in the Elite Program.

Teams that will play in the Fall 2020/Spring 2021 season will be formed differently from past season due to COVID-19 and required protocols.  The following will be used fro assessment and team formation.

Assessment – Times that will be used for player assessment will begin with late July training sessions and run through August training sessions and the Skyline Cup. These assessments will be used for team formation.

Skyline Cup – If we are able to hold the event it will be used as an opportunity for assessment and team formation.  Additional fees would apply.

Team Formation – Teams will not be finalized until late August.

Skyline understands that each player develops differently. These assessments are based on what the player is showcasing at that point in time and not an assessment for their entire soccer career.

At SKILLS, players are grouped to enhance the learning process. Players may be moved between groups through the program to help find a place where a player will gain the most out of training.
