Cameron - 07G Academy

The Skyline Competitive Program would like to honor Cameron B as our Women's Player of the Month for September! Cameron is a key player and leader on our '07 Team.

Let's hear from Cameron!

  • What's your favorite thing about soccer? Soccer means being part of a broader community, while challenging myself physically and mentally. I absolutely love my teammates and Alex, and the culture that we have built. I love physically pushing myself and mentally looking at tactics and problem solving. Film review is one of my faves!

  • What's your favorite position? Center attacking midfield because I enjoy being part of the build-up and attack. It’s so fun to be one part of the larger team opportunity.

  • How do your prepare for the season? To get ready for fall, I did a lot of sprint work, agility drills, and ball touches. Being consistent is important as is being honest with myself about areas I need to improve. Shout out to Stephen for the high school summer camp!

  • What do you enjoy outside of soccer? I swim, crotchet, bake, and read a lot of dystopian fiction. My family sometimes calls me grandma because of my hobbies . I also enjoy tea!

  • Advice to others? It’s ok to march to the beat of your own drum. We all have our inner weird. Embrace it!!

  • Other fun facts from Cameron!
  • I am in the player pool for Colorado Select. My advice is to take the risk- the worst that will happen is getting some additional training in a technical environment.
  • Reese: My big sister helped me a lot this summer and was patient when I didn’t want to listen. We did a lot of sprint work and passing drills together. I got better as a player and she got better at giving feedback.

Let's hear from her Coach!

From the youngest on the team a year ago to now a captain and one of our most impactful and dangerous attackers, Cameron’s dedication, consistency, and pure love for the game shine every time she steps on the field. Her relentless drive raises the bar for everyone around her, and her positivity off the field makes her a natural leader. Or, in Gen Z terms — as one teammate put it after watching her get double-marked and fouled all game: 'She’s such a vibe… imagine having that much aura that you can get in the other team’s head with just your presence.

CONGRATULATIONS CAMERON!
