Eby - 2013 Academy Team

The Skyline Competitive Program would like to honor Eby H as our Women's Player of the Month for November! Eby is a key player on our 2013 Academy Team.

Let's hear from Eby!

Q: What does soccer mean to you?

A: Soccer means doing what I love and pushing myself while building up my teammates and them building me up.

Q: What is your favorite position and why?

A: Keeper!!! Best position ever! I get to put myself in risky spots and work hard to stretch myself, literally and figuratively. I tried it when I was little and if I never tried it, I wouldn’t have found the spot that fits me perfectly.

Q; How do you prepare for games?

A: I eat a balanced meal prior to hitting the road. I like to be at the pitch earlier than anyone else. If I am in a tournament, I won’t go home and I prefer to stay at the fields. I want to be fully in the soccer mindset prior to a game. And of course, I can’t play without my lucky headband.

Q: What other hobbies do you have?

A: I love most everything, but especially sports. In addition to soccer, I am a competitive free skier and gymnast. I like making art and writing. And most of all, I like people! 

Any other unique thoughts or abilities that you would like to share?

I would like to send a shoutout to the coaches and directors at Skyline. You all put in so much time, energy and love into helping kids improve, and most importantly, love soccer. Thank you!
